Our graduates, key players in the teaching process

Every day, the École strengthens its ties with the professional world, thanks in part to the involvement of its graduates. Driven by the desire to pass on their expertise and experience, they once again come to the school to share their know-how, through lectures, testimonials and project collaboration.

By way of example, the retail management course, led by teacher-researcher Cédrine Zumbo-Lebrument, welcomes graduates from a variety of companies, including Monbento, a Clermont-Ferrand brand that is emblematic of the lunchbox market, and KANTAR, a world leader in research and data. These exchanges enrich learning and strengthen the links between the academic world, the professional world and the alumni network.

Inspiring presentations

As part of the Bachelor 3 Retail Manager program, a number of graduates gave presentations:

  • Clément Queval (class of 2021), president of the Running Shop store, led a session on customer relationship management. Through the story of his career, he presented the challenges of taking over his store, managing traffic and federating a community, particularly around running enthusiasts. Practical exercises rounded off his presentation, immersing the students in the reality of the business.
  • Claire Marcollet (class of 1992), a professor affiliated to the school, shares her expertise on a course devoted to sales team management, offering students a concrete and operational vision of this key sector.

Students on the Grande École Program also benefit from enriching presentations by:

  • Pauline Desenfans (class of 2014), Business Development Manager at KANTAR, gives an introductory course on consumer panels, a fundamental tool for understanding and analyzing consumer behavior.
  • Yannick Cartailler (class of 1992), founder and president of Aventina, teaches the functions and skills involved in business development, and more specifically a course on commercial arthimerics and value analysis applied to the profession of Product Manager.
  • Marie-Lou Ibot (Bachelor class of 2017) and Marie Bee (Master class of 2017), Marketing Product Managers at Monbento, guided the students through a case study on product innovation. In six weeks, they designed 8 product concepts responding to a real problem, putting their knowledge of marketing and design thinking into practice.

A bridge between the academic and professional worlds

These presentations illustrate the commitment of our graduates to passing on their knowledge and experience. For students, it's a unique opportunity to learn from professionals and discover the many facets of their future profession. However, the link between students and graduates goes beyond simple educational sharing: these alumni have themselves been in their shoes. This proximity creates lasting connections, expanding the students' network while actively preparing them for integration into the job market.

Testimonial 🎤

“Ever since I moved to the other side of the school benches, I've been looking forward to proposing an educational project to students!

  • First reason: they're the most concrete and stimulating projects I've been able to carry out as a student.
  • Second reason: having been with Monbento for 4 years already, it allowed us to broaden our scope of ideas, to try to see things differently on an issue we had already studied thoroughly. A bit like what we would do with in-house “creativity days”, or with external design agencies.

So thank you to Cédrine for contacting me, and for making it all happen”.

Marie-Lou Ibot.

“It's always inspiring to have graduates speak, because we immediately have a connection with them.... It gives us career prospects and it's easier to ask questions. The course we had on consumer panels by Pauline Desenfans was of excellent quality, with a great balance between theory and practice. It's crazy to think that teaching isn't her job when the day's gone by so quickly! We thank her for the time she gave us, with her good humor and little anecdotes.”
